JMA Science Olympiad Nationals Trip
Donation protected
Having to plan this long last minute trip will be a bit of a financial burden so we are hoping our community will support us and help get these kids to Nebraska.
On April 25th the team of 16 students from 7th-9th grades, came in second at the North Carolina State Science Olympiad Tournament out of fifty-four public and private schools. This was an exciting accomplishment for the team because it is their highest finish ever at the tournament and because it means that the team has qualified to attend the national championship to be held May 15-16 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
If you are not already familiar with Science Olympiad, it is a competition designed to attract students to STEM fields and to develop their knowledge of and interest in a wide variety of disciplines such as biology, earth science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, engineering and technology. There are 23 different events from all of these different disciplines.
Please consider assisting the team with a donation to the school to help fund the cost of the trip. JMA has procured a charter flight to help them get to Nebraska but the kids need help covering their tickets. CMS will cover ground transportation and lodging once we get there/
We have the ability to showcase supporters via our t-shirt and other materials. Any amount of support provided would be greatly appreciated by our Science Olympians.
We cannot accept money through our school, if you need to donate to a non profit we are working on another option for that.
