Help Jabar Buy A New Wheelchair
On Jan. 28, 2006 Jabar Wright life change forever he was hit by a spray of gunfire as he sat in the backseat of his grandfather's car, Jabar was paralyzed from the neck down, and became vent dependent, & a c2 quadriplegic, On July 16, 2013 Jabar had a long enduring 10 hour spinal surgery which a rod was placed in his spine to correct a severe case of scoliosis. After the enduring and grueling surgery his height increase by 3 inches, which by the grace of God it changed a lot of factors for the better with his health but it left us with a bigger promble his wheelchair no longer is able to accommodate him.The sad part about all of this he never asks to be injured but the insurance company does not care about that it's all about paper work and dates. Jabar does not qualify for another standard wheelchair for another two years, but if he needs repaires they will cover it but nothing else. In this young man's life he has endured many surgeries two spinal infusion surgery,a pacemaker surgery, flatlining twice just to name a few things. JABAR has been through a awful ordeals, but he never complains he's always grateful humble and thankful. To give you a little insight on who we are raising money for when I told him about the gofund he said THANKYOU in advance. As a mother the worst feeling in the world is to know that your child has a dire need for something and you cannot provide. My boy said mom this chair hurts and it killed me that i couldn't make it happen right then and there, so I'M coming to all of you and asking please help me take my son out of the misery of his chair that is to small and uncomfortable for him. This wheel chair does everything and will allow JABAR to reclaim his independence as a 16 year old young man who will be 17 in last then 1 month and half . JABAR wheelchair is so important because he is still in school and majority of his day is consistent around his wheelchair.
