It's me, Jasmine Gaddy. I am a participant in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante Scholarship and Cotillion Program. This awesome experience is sponsored by RPO Inc. in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Rho Psi Omega Chapter in Charlotte, NC. RPO, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization designed to empower individuals and communities. I am so excited I was selected to participate. I would appreciate your financial support no later than February 5, 2015. Your name will be listed in the souvenir journal.
I am a 12th grade honor student at Harding University High School (HUHS) seeking scholarship donations to start college in August 2015. College is very expensive so my initial goal is to raise at least $10,000. All donations are tax deductible.
I was not born with a "silver spoon" in my mouth. My mother, Rochelle, has worked tirelessly to support me and my sister, Star. My mother instilled in us the importance of the work ethic and the need to be self-sufficient.
I work at Harris Teeter as a cashier. I have learned so much by working, which has helped me realize even more the importance of a good education.
My church, school, and community activities include Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Moving Testimony Dance Team, Generation One Dance Ministry, Dynamic Youth Ministry, and HUHS Basketball Ambassador. I believe in giving back to my school and community. Some of my volunteer efforts include Fantasy Face Painter, Business Law/Entrepreneurship peer tutor, Special Olympics, Race for the Cure, and the March of Dimes. I am also a registered volunteer for the Panther home games.
My desire is to pursue a career in the field of biotechnology. Therefore, monies saved from employment, scholarships, and generous donations, will be my gateway to college. With your help, attending college will become a reality.
