Box Truck for food Distribution!

Donation protected

Well Folks, Time to ask for your help once more. We need our own Charity Box Truck to serve so many families in need right here in Central Illinois!

We found a great one for only $5,000 that will lase several Years for us to be able to pick up more food from the Area Food Banks and Distribute all over Central Illinois!

CTX Ability Sports was founded by John Lorek in the summer of 2011. His inspiration was his son, Ryne Lorek, named after the great Ryne Sandberg. Ryne has vision and physical disabilities that prevent him from participating in typical organized sports. The vision of CTX Ability Sports was an all-inclusive organization where anyone can safely play and have equal access to the benefits of sports.

Children from all over central Texas began to join. CTX Ability Sports is unique in that they allow parents and siblings to play alongside of the children with disabilities, leading to more participation and inclusion. They even have non-disabled children who play just for the fun of the sport.

Despite several successful years, CTX Ability Sports has never had a place to call its own. They need a home. They have partnered with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, The Bridge Community Church, and Chive Charities to make that happen. The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation specializes in making state-of-the-art, quality fields that are safe and accessible to children with special needs. The Bridge Community Church is providing the land for the project. Chive Charities made a $200,000 donation to help kickstart construction.

The $50,000 goal will go toward building KCCO Ability Field, which will be a state-of-the-art, all-AstroTurf Ability Field specifically designed for all children with disabilities to enjoy. It will be a field built with the highest quality materials, designed for safety and fun.

Chivers are notorious for exceeding well beyond initial GoFundMe goals. If that happens on this project, there are several other elements we would like to be able to build. Any funds donated beyond the goal will go toward:

• ADA Bathrooms so that special needs children and their families don’t have to travel hundreds of yards to the church’s bathrooms
• A family ADA playground next to the field
• Continual maintenance of the field
• Interactive video scoreboard
• Equipment storage units
• Shaded awnings for resting areas
• Splash pad to stay cool in the hot summer days
