School Trip to Washington DC

My daughter has been invited on a 5 day trip to Washington DC. She is a gifted student who is dual enrolled as both an 8th grade student and a high school student. She will receive 3 high school social studies credits for this trip. The money collected will be used to cover the cost of her share of the group transportation, hotel, food, admission tickets to the Smithsonian, Arlington National Cemetery, WWII Memorial, the Holocaust Museum, Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol and the Supreme Court as well as many others. It is an ambitious trip and something that we would never otherwise dream of being able to do. My daughter is an amazing student, cares for her autistic brother, participates in chorus, VP of drama and President of anime club. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking family dinners and participating in community activities.
