Kismet Medical Fund Spring 2015
Donation protected
We are a small group who try to help with ferals and strays throughout the East Bay Area. We recently received many requests to help with injured cats, but need funding to proceed.
Even simple treatments like fleas, mites, worms, upper respiratory infections can range from $20-60 per cat. Anything requiring a medical exam and possible blood work or xrays will go up to $100-300. We currently have one stray that has a couple of abscessed teeth we need to remove (range will be $500-600 easily) and a senior girl that we need to test for internal issues ($200-300). We also have a couple of calls for ferals with leg injuries ($100-200), and one with a tail that may need amputation ($300-600 depending on difficulty).
All of these expenses slowly add up. The funds raised will be used to help with medical costs along with their care while they are in recovery.
Our primary goal is to help unfortunate animals gain a higher quality of life. We believe all animals should be treated with dignity & kindness. Until all shelters are “no kill”, we will continue to help with the homeless pet population performing friendly trapping (STAR=Safe Trap-Alter-Return) along with educating our communities about the importance of spaying & neutering pets.
Every donation helps - even $5, $10, $20 will add up to get us closer to helping more animals in need.
Thank you!
