It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elder Moses Maina Kabugi on Saturday July 4th 2015. The Late was promoted to Glory at Nairobi Hospital Kenya after he succumbed to a short illness.
Elder Kabugi was born on March 13, 1942 in Kibichoi, Gatundu. He attended Thika High School and later worked at the Treasury Department as the Computer Controller.
He was survived by his wife Lucy Maina and their children Maggie Maina of Atlanta GA, Anne , William and Esther Maina of Boston, Ma. He left behind 4 grandchildren Kimberly & Chelisa Macharia, and Rayden & Bryce Waweru.
Elder Kabugi was very involved in the community and church both in Kenya and in the US. He was one of the founding members of PCEA Ushindi Church in Lowell, MA and played the initial role of Chairman.
Formal memorial services and fundraisers will be held Sunday July 5th 2015 at 4:00 pm at Mrs. Maina's residence, 7 Hobson St, Lawrence MA , and at Kenyan American Community Church Sanctuary - Marietta: 771 Elberta Dr, Marietta, GA. 30066 at 2pm after the service .
