CHANGE THE WORLD: Stop Body Shaming
Hello, my name is Michelle Mines; thanks for wanting to donate to my campaign. My goal for this project is to impact the lives of individuals that are suffering from the actions of body shaming. I will achieve my goal my hosting a body "Positivity Photoshoot" where pictures will be taken of ten individuals showing them being comfortable in their own skin (or trying to be).
After the photos are developed we will have a fundraising event where the pictures will be showcased and a documentary from the photo shoot will be shown. The final Poster Size Print of the photos, will be given to the ten individuals featured. That way whenever they are feeling down about themselves, and they feel like they don't look as perfect as they want to look, they can look at those pictures and restore their confidence.
Since March is Women's History Month, we need females of all ages, sizes and ethnicities to help us CHANGE THE WORLD. The photo shoot will be Sunday, March 18th 12p-2p at Artworks, 320 Hull Street, Richmond VA 23224. The photographer for this project is Lechele Kamragurl Trent-Jackson. The videographer for this project is Jessica Snyder. My Ultimate Goal would be to raise 300 dollars for the Veritas Collaborative a program that helps people with eating disorders. Your donations will help with the project cost and the contribution to Veritas. All donation amounts are accepted and appreciated.
