Miguel's Last Wish
Donation protected
My name is Jairo Garcia and I'd like to introduce you to my childhood friend, Miguel(right). Miguel is 26 years old and has two lovely kids. Out of nowhere, he complained of stomach pains and decided to go to the doctor. It was then when Miguel was diagnosed with terminal gastric cancer and was given 6 months to live. Doctors told Miguel that there was nothing to do but just wait for his time to come. Miguel is on his 6th month of having cancer and even though his condition has become very critical, he is still fighting for his life. When I first found out Miguel had cancer I told him to make a bucket list and I would try to help him make it happen. I tempted him to go and do wild things, that he wouldn't normally do. He said his only wish was to "spend as much time with his family". Miguel was raised by a single wonderful woman and often had to play the role of the man of the house. Before his cancer Miguel was working in construction and had to stop working when his health started to fade. Miguel's biggest fear was to leave his family and his three beautiful women (mom, sister, and girlfriend) with nothing. Miguel's condition has become very critical within the last two weeks and his mom had to stop working. With medical bills and having to take care of Miguel, the family is already hurting, not only emotionally, but financially. I have been visiting Miguel every day and even though he might not be able to talk as much anymore, I can tell he enjoys the company. During the time that I have spent with Miguel, I realized that his biggest fear was coming true. His family is struggling financially due to medical bills and supporting his family. It’s very difficult to lose someone you care about, even more so, when that person was the main income for the family. His family is struggling and I know that once the time comes they are going to need money for funeral expenses and paying off the rest of his medical bills.
I’m writing my best friend's story to humbly ask you to help raise money for his family. In doing so, you’ll help alleviate the financial burdens that funeral costs and hospitals bills put on any family. Please don’t let cancer bring Miguel’s fears to reality. With your help we can let Miguel rest in peace without worrying about his family and his “beautiful ladies”.
God Bless you!
