London HIV Research Trip
Donation protected
Hello my name is Nicole Scott. I will be traveling to England to learn about the management of health care, specifically among the African American community with an HIV diagnosis. As such, I am seeking to acquire sufficient funds to travel abroad for ten days to conduct my research. My intent is to compare the disparities within the health care systems of England and the United States. I am developing a research proposal for my Masters Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Management.
My goal is to fundraise $4,000 to assist with costs to cover my flight, room, and transportation in and around London, where I will be traveling with a group of Public Health students studying different areas of England’s health system. I have never traveled abroad, and this trip will undoubtedly be an intellectual one, and the experience life-changing.
I am a 29 year old 2nd year Graduate student at Capella University. I hold a Bachelor in Psychology from California State University Northridge. Though originally from California, I now live in Jacksonville, Florida; I currently work at the University of Florida Hospital. My long-term goals consist of obtaining my Physician Assistant degree, as well as a PhD in Global Health.
Thank you in advance for your donations and well wishes.
