My Celebration At The Mansion

Donation protected

Greetings family, friends and supporters;
Thank you kindly for taking the time to read about my crowd funding campaign.
For those of you who are recently becoming acquainted with me, my name is Yendys Nefer-Atum.
As the 50th anniversary of my birth is fast approaching this October 8th, 2015 (Libra Season...)
I wish to personally invite you to be my guest and celebrate with me as I welcome and honor 'turning 50.'
I have an awesome vision of having my community join me as I celebrate this very important milestone in my life.
For the past three decades, I have humbly served my community as one of the pioneers in the natural hair care and natural product industry. My natural hair and body care product brand 'Ancient Blends' has since become a household name; providing quality, plant based products for the entire family to maintain healthy hair and skin. I have also founded and operated  'The Cowrie Shell Center' an eclectic sanctuary which continues to provide our community with natural hair care services and holistic wellness support, plant based nutrition and mind, body, spirit realignment .

On October 10th, 2015 from 7pm till midnight, we will gather on the ground floor of this Brooklyn Landmark known to many as Stuyvesant Mansion, located at 375 Stuyvesant avenue between Bainbridge and Decatur in Bedstuy Brooklyn.

We will dance the night away! By the way~ It's a FELA  KUTI themed affair! So sistahs  do your thing and  Brothas rock dashikis!

As an advocate for the longevity of this 100 year old historic Landmark, I could not think of a better way to manifest this special event while bringing your awareness and support to this magnificent building.

Stuyvesant Mansion was built in 1914. The building was purchased by a phenomenal black woman named Dr. Josephine English (born 1920-2011). Dr. English was one of the 1st black, female OB/GYN doctors in NY State. The mansion became a senior center in 1982...I'm honored to have been one of the models in an African-Inspired fashion show held there during that time period. Since then, I've been blessed to have had several opportunities to return many years later to work in the mansion as an entrepenuer and educator. Most recently, it became a community center and intergenerational hub for folks just like me...artists, educators, activists, entrepreneurs, and youth of all socio-economic backgrounds.
I believe that Dr. English opened the way for countless women to manifest our dreams. May her spirit continue to live on through our strives and our accomplishments. May her legacy never ceast to be an example of our attainable goals.

No donation is too small.  Continuing to celebrate and support  black businesses IS your gift to me! Any amount you are able to "gift" towards 'My Celebration At The Mansion' will be greatly appreciated.

I can't wait to celebrate with you on October 10th 2015!

Thank you kindly in advance.
