Gun Rights Appeal to Supreme Court

Bureaucrats in local government are infringing on my right to bear arms.
In July 2014, Derrick J applied for a resident concealed carry license in Keene, NH. It was denied. Police chief Ken Meola explained that even though Derrick J is not prohibited from possessing or openly carrying a firearm, he is not, in his opinion, a "suitable" person.
Derrick J shelled out his own $2500 to rockstar attorney Evan Nappen to appeal the denial. He was able to raise about half of his money back with an online fundraiser.
In November, there was a "Hearing on the Merits", where Derrick J's attorney argued his case before local judge Ed Burke. Full video exists online. In December, Judge Burke upheld the Police's denial of the Concealed Carry license on the grounds that Derrick J doesn't respect authority.
The attorney is willing to go forward with an appeal to the NH Supreme Court. The cost would be about $3,000: The transcript plus filing fees cost about $500, and Evan Nappen is willing to file the appeal and present oral arguments all for only $2500.
That's a very low price for a supreme court appeal, in my opinion, and possibly worth the cost if only for the fact that the supreme court justices will have to watch Derrick J's Victimless Crime Spree. I have about a week to decide to appeal.
