Fighting MS With Alternative Medicine

At the age of 29 we expect to be in our prime, but when I went numb from my toes up to my waist and landed in the hospital, the last thing I expected to be told was that I had Multiple Sclerosis. I've always been active and social, and suddenly I couldn't walk without holding onto the walls or railings around me. I've had progress since I got out of the hospital with walking and some of the numbness and burning has gotten better. My neurologist wants to put me on standard MS drugs, but from the research I've done, it's not for me. I am not willing to have the drastic side effects they cause (liver failure, cancer, infection, flu-like symptoms, fatigue, etc...). So, I am doing alternative medicine and also a new diet. This is where it gets costly as my health insurance does not cover ANY alternative medicine. My autoimmune diet ( a stricter take on Paleo ) has me grocery shopping every 3-4 days for specific foods that are costing me $600-$700 per month. I am seeing a Quantum Neurologist who is helping me get my strength back but is $400 per month. I am thankful to have gotten an appointment at the Whitaker Wellness Center but am looking at a $350 consultation and $150 per appointment beyond that as well as the costs of all of the various tests they will be running. I was told to expect $10,000 - $15,000 in the first 6 months. And finally my wonderful nutritionist who is helping me pro bono but I still have to pay for all of my vitamin supplements running approx $100 a month. I don't want to be forced to do conventional western medicine and am desperate to do it naturally, the financial burden is just incredible. (As all of the regular bills like car payment, rent, insurance, etc... don't go away either!) Any little bit will help and I greatly appreciate it! #Faith #Healing #Natural #Hope #BeatMS #GodBless
