Short Film: "Not My Job"

Newfoundland-based independent film production company, Pitcher Plant Productions, is seeking support to produce its debut short film, "Not My Job". The film is a comedy-drama written and to be directed by Justin A. Foley .  The film centers on the Grim Reaper who, as he collects a recently-deceased soul from a hospital, finds himself stuck as the only "person" able to help in an emergency baby delivery.

The funds raised from this campaign will go directly into producing this film. That includes cast and crew wages, rental/purchasing fees for locations, camera equipment, lighting equipment, props and costumes, and in marketing our film in festivals and competitions.

We hope to shoot this film in mid-to-late August, however if we need to push due to funding, we can certainly accomodate that.

This project is important to us because Newfoundland has a growing film industry, with a number of talented and professional people working in it. However, the work is often seasonal, and we want to create job opportunities for these people and to help the local industry grow. This film is not expensive to produce in general, however we want to pay our crew and cast as close to proper union wages as possible, and we need as much support as we can get to do that. For such assistance, our gratitude would be endless.
