Olivia is known for being a sweet, sassy, and spunky little girl, and we all love her very much, but she gave us quite a scare when she got sick this past February. It’s been hard seeing our little girl struggle with her health, but we’ve been doing everything we can to ensure she gets the care she needs. We have been so very lucky to have the absolute best possible veterinary support that a little pony could ask for.

February 1, Olivia went to the hospital where she was diagnosed with colitis and stayed for a few days for treatment, before coming home to continue recovery with her sister by her side. Unfortunately, she continued to have a hard time and we ended up returning to the hospital, to learn that she had additional complications, including a blood clot and infection (common complications in severe colitis cases). We followed the vet’s plans and returned to the hospital last week to finally hear some good news! As of now, Olivia's infection is clearing up and her body is finding ways to route her blood around the clot!

Now that we are getting to the other side of this, we’re seeing how much the costs of Olivia’s care has truly added up. We have to say that every penny is absolutely worth it to still have our girl here with us and to know she’s receiving the best care possible, and has everything she needs, but there are a lot of pennies to be paid, which is why we thought we would start a little GoFundMe.

We want to stress that there is no pressure to donate, or even share our fundraiser, we simply wanted to provide an opportunity for Olivia’s fans who have asked how they can help Olivia directly. Every little bit helps, and every dollar raised here will go directly toward paying off her hospital and vet bills.

Olivia has a wonderful and supportive online community, and honestly, your support, encouragement, and positive vibes have meant the world to us as we have navigated through this difficult time. We are so thankful that she’s feeling like herself again, and that she is still here with us so that she and Sierra will get to continue spending their days at each other’s side.
