Operation Brendo

Late Saturday night Brendan was riding home with his wife, JoJo, heading south on Lamar when a car struck him from behind and fled the scene. Brendan got banged up pretty bad. He was rushed to the ER at Brackenridge where he had surgery on his eye Sunday morning. He has a badly broken nose, has missing teeth, a broken sternum, a T12 broken vertabrae and road rash. 

Brendan is the Fastest Bike Mechanic in Texas. Proven twice by his consecutive State Championship titles.

He’s incredibly kind. Once, while commuting, he saw a raccoon get run over by a car. He got off his bike and pulled it out and off the road.

Brendan is unbelievably nice. He’s always willing to help his friends with bike issues. So long as you show up on time to group rides. 

He’s also an extremely talented carpenter. He has been working on a series of wooden sculptures for the upcoming East Austin Studio Tour in November. They're beautiful and impressive. Just wait. 

He’s got a long road of recovery ahead of him. More surgery in 8-10 months, dental work, and physical therapy. He’ll be missing work and his insurance might (maybe) only cover so much. The money raised will all help soften the blow of all the medical bills ahead.
