PCUM-Cold Weather Kits for Homeless
Donation protected
Several times each year, Presbyterian Church Upper Montcliar's (PCUM's) youth group and adult volunteers make the 25-minute drive into New York City to deliver food and supplies to approximately 100 - 150 homeless neighbors at several stops throughout Manhattan - supported by the Midnight Run program leaders in the field, and back at the church by teams of Middle School youth and other adults who have prepared the sandwiches, heated the soup, and assembled clothing and other personal items donated by the congregation - showing God's love and fight homelessness — one person at a time!
With the cold weather rapidly approaching, we ask your financial assistance to provide Cold Weather Kits to each homeless neighbor on our December and January/February runs.
Each Cold Weather Kit costs about $10 to assemble, and consists of:
(1) Pair of "Magic" Gloves
(1) Wool Knit Hat
(1) Pair of Wool Socks
(1) Pair of Underwear
(1) Rain Poncho
(1) Mylar Blanket
(2) Hand Warmers
(1) 5'x7' Tarp
Please prayerfully consider funding one or more Cold Weather Kits to those in need.
"...I was a stranger, and you welcomed me..."
Matthew 25:35
Thank You!
