Pgh Folx Pet Food Drive
Tax deductible
Support your neighbors who take care of homeless animals and wildlife. Donations distributed to cat colony caretakers, feeders, TNR volunteers,low-income pet owners, rescuers, rehabbers and others on and near to the Northside’s 18 neighborhoods. Many of these neighbors are not eligible for traditional pet food pantries.
We started in Sept and have tripled our participants. We will definitely need help to distribute food in December especially if we continue to grow.

Great small project for kids
As an example, we've cared for Fort Faulsey since 2020. Right now we have five permanent residents, a half dozen visitors. We were as high as 15 cats. Since we took over, there have been no kittens born here - big win. Everyone has clean water, daily feedings, and shelters. It is a small colony, but we go through 35 pounds of dry food , plus a case of canned food weekly.
Investing in neighbors who care for these cats helps the whole community.
We also need to take five colony cats for exams and vaccine updates. Plus we need to hire someone to install a shed at Fort Faulsey.
