It doesn’t have to be that way and you don’t have to leave yourself ragged and gritting your teeth…you could even get to enjoy your kids, without resorting to your own Potty Mouth©!
My name is Lisa Blye and my passion and my talent is working with young children and helping their parents work with them too. I've been doing it for over 20 years, and have developed TONS of really doable techniques that turn child-rearing into a wonderful and wondrous experience.
From working as a nanny to studying child development in college, I have formed a unique approach with children that needs to be shared with the world! I am working on the book PottyMouth Parenting, the subject of this fundraising campaign, and during this process, I've discovered that I've got many books in me. I simply must get them out! But first, I have to be able to produce this one, and that’s why I’m turning to you.
My goal is to write a series of child-rearing books that, thanks to their unique and simple strategies, are actually useful for parents. Wanna know a secret? Not all families are the same! And a cookie cutter approach only works on cookies. I'm talking about practical, everyday tips, tricks, and insights, supported by scientific evidence as well as my 23 years of hands-on experience.
Additionally, I want to make videos, so that you can actually see the program in action, and have a reference you can consult any time the going gets tough. Because, let’s face it, in parenting the going will get tough.
Why "Potty Mouth"?
1. Parenting is full of humor(, sometimes shockingly so). Advice about it should be too.
2. Irony (Potty Mouth + Parenting? C’mon, it’s funny!)
3. Because I said so!
