Prince the Cat's Leg Surgery

Donation protected

Hello pet lovers and cat lovers. I'm Andrea Freeland, doing this on behalf of my cat feral colony owning friend, Deborah Shields.

One of her male feral cats got hit by a car February 3nd. He broke both right legs ... unfortunately at the elbow and knee.  These are, apparently, the two worst areas for breaks to occur. Instead of just casts, Prince (as he was just named instead of feral cat number 10) will likely need surgery.

Deborah drives a truck during our agricultural season, here in drought-stricken California, so her income is up and down. But the cost of the Prince's surgery is prohibitive.

Deb is the kind  of person who generously uses her income to provide for both the feral colony and her own indoor cat colony made up of cast-offs, elderly and other rescues. She uses her down time to trap and spay and neuter the ferals to keep the population in check. Unfortunately, because people abandon animals in the country near her home, the cat population can grow unexpectedly. That's how Prince came to us.

All money raised here will go toward Prince's surgery and veterinary bills. We will need the funds after the orthopedic veterinarin surgeon decides whether or not Prince will need surgery. If not, our request will be much less.

After surgery, Prince will join the indoor population; we don't want to further risk his health.

We hope you take time to drop us a dime. Cat lovers please donate if you can. If you can't, well wishes are accepted.

We appreciate deeply anyone stopping by to donate, or anyone just giving us well wishes. Deb and Prince will be forever thankful.
