Help Us Self-Publish Our Novel!

Back in May of 2012, my best friend/honorary sister and I began writing fiction together as sophomores. Now the pair of us are freshmen in college -- for months upon months, we've been working tirelessly on a book series which holds a very special place in our hearts called The Princess and the Guardian, a modern fairytale detailing a brewing war that involves three kingdoms in the sky. We plan to market it for young adult audiences, but it is a story relatable to all ages about friendship, courage, sacrifice, and ultimately, redemption.
Engineered to take the antifeminist and archetypal themes of old medieval literature and turn them on their heads, we can guarantee that it is a unique read.
After much deliberation, we've decided to start a GoFundMe page in hopes of gaining the funds needed for the self-publication of the first in the series, our debut novel A Royal Reborn.
While we have been able to gather about $500.00 through literally mere happenstance, there is still much more needed to ensure that we are able to print as many books as we need to market the series well. We feel like this series truly has potential to be loved by lots of people as long as it makes the right impression with the right audience. In order to do that, we need more moo-lah. And that's where you have the opportunity to be part of something really special! While we are still working hard to save up our own money (despite the fact that we're college students and very broke), it would mean the world to us if you donated even a small amount of money. Anything and everything helps! For donating to help publish A Royal Reborn, you will be thanked profusely in our Acknowledgements section of the novel to forever immortalize your kindness. Depending on how much you donate (sorry, they cost, like, 20 bucks a pop), we also intend to send out free hardcover copies of the novel! And perhaps if we know you personally, we'll give you lots of hugs, too. Lots and lots of 'em. (Especially if you're one of our college friends who are also broke. God, we'll love you forever. <3 )
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Self-publishing is an exciting but stressful ordeal. We appreciate absolutely any help we can get!
Marketing will begin in early to mid-2016.
