RTB for Auburn MA PD OFC Tarentino
Donation protected
Twelve officers from the Lowell, MA and Pelham, NH Police Departments are joining forces and running over 200 miles to raise money for the family of officer Ronald Tarentino, who was tragically killed this May in the line of duty. Ronald Tarentino was just 42 when he was taken from his wife and three children. A two-year veteran of the Auburn Police Department, he was described by his colleagues and loved ones as a “cop’s cop” and a “knight in shining armor.”
On September 16, the twelve officers will honor Officer Tarentino’s memory and show their ongoing support for his family by running the 201-mile Ragnar “Reach the Beach” Relay from Bretton Woods, NH to Hampton Beach, NH, a road-race that must be completed within 24 hours.
A message from the Lowell and Pelham Officers:
When an officer is killed in the line of duty, the Blue will never turn their back. Losing a father, husband, and amazing officer leaves a hole that can never be filled again. As fellow officers, all we can do is show our never-ending support for a family that gave the ultimate sacrifice. When a tragedy like this happens, the financial burden is unprecedented.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the family of Officer Tarentino between now and September 16. This money will go directly to the family of fallen Officer Tarentino. We ask fellow officers, firefighters, veterans, and all of you who put your lives on the line to protect and serve, to do for this family what you would want done for yours. We ask every civilian to give back and say thank you in this small way for the sacrifice that Officer Tarentino made and that officers risk every day.
We are so thankful to each and every one of you who supports our police officers. Thank you so much for helping a family that really needs our support. Thank you for helping us “Back the Blue.”
Sincerely,
The Pelham and Lowell Police Departments (TEAM SHEEPDOG)
