Rachel's Stem Cell Treatment for MS
Donation protected
I was diagnosed with MS in 2011 after many years of unexplained symptoms. I have managed to carry on living life as I always have despite losing a part of my sight, regular painful spasms, bladder problems, tremors and more recently some pretty scary episodes of forgetfulness, brain fog and cognitive problems.
I have always worked full time and am proud to be an active member of the Royal British Legion Parachute Display Team.
I have tried some medications which have a "chance" of preventing future relapses, but there is no real way of measuring this. There is now a cure! But I cant have it on the NHS because I am too healthy right now. Go Figure!
Unfortunately, every MS relapse takes another piece of me that cant be fixed. The HSCT treatment will halt the progression of MS but will not fix what has already been done and I dont want to wait until I am in the position where I can no longer work or live my life before they will stop me getting worse. I need fixing NOW!
I am now booked to receive my treatment in India on Octover 14th. Its pretty ruthless treatment, but I think it will be worth it to get my life back.
The future scares me right now - please help me reach my goal of a brighter future. TIME IS BRAIN!
