STL Initiative to Reduce Violence

The St. Louis Initiative to Reduce Violence (SIRV) is a 501(c)3 grassroots effort involving St. Louis communities, law enforcement, non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, schools and community leaders dedicated to supporting, designing and implementing solutions to curb violence in the St. Louis region. The primary goal of SIRV is to change the culture of violence that has taken over parts of our city.

The time to act is now! Violence is an issue that affects the health and well-being of our citizens, creates an environment of fear, and robs our children of the opportunity to feel safe in their neighborhoods and schools. We want to focus on preventing violence and changing those existing social norms surrounding violence to not only raise awareness about it, but to also encourage positive conflict resolution.
