We are the Boise Hive. We are a nonprofit resource center for muscians built by this community for this community. We empower musicians and artists to thrive, through access to rehearsal space, buisness tools and mental health & wellness resources.
The building that we have been renting for the past year has been up for sale. A cash offer was made on this building for $210,000. The Boise Hive has first right of refusal on the purchase of this building but we only have 15 days from the day of the offer to match this cash offer. Its taken a village to build this place, the village has embraced it and now it will take a village to save it.
It means saving a community resource that gives the population we serve, musicians in need, a place to find purpose and structure in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
It means saving the programs we have worked hard to build with very limited financial resources, including:
our music program for Veterans - "Jam It Out", providing a new home for The Interfaith Sanctuary Music Program, programs for mental health and wellness including workshops and peer-facilitated recovery support groups, and business development services. We not only want to keep musicians alive, we want to help them thrive.
Saving the Boise Hive means saving a historical institution with deep roots in Boise's music scene as it once housed Custom Recording & Sound, one of Idaho's oldest recording studios.
We believe that all musicians deserve to thrive while pursuing their craft, no matter their personal circumstances. Every day we greet these people walking through our doors.
Please help us keep the doors to keep open. Please help musicians in our community LIVE OUT LOUD.
We need your help to Save the Boise Hive.
A tax deductible donation today to help us secure our home would mean the world to our volunteers who have found purpose in facilitating the space, our Board and Executive Director who have thrown all their heart at this, and most of all, every musician of every age and walk of life who comes through our doors and reaches out for help or simply a place to play. And finds it.
Help us save our building so musicians can continue to LIVE OUT LOUD.
***Please note all funds raised will go to the future of the Boise Hive, whatever that looks like, we will not leave our musicians in need, further in need. That is our promise to this community. If we don't reach our goal, we still get to keep what we raise and all funds will go to a new home but that road would be long and rocky and disrupt our services for an indefinite amount of time, because hey, we're that unique in what we provide that we can't just move anywhere.
