I am trying to raise money in order to fullful the dream of my aunt Gwendolyn Laws, which was to provide a clothing line for cancer surviors. My aunt had and survived the battle that she had with breast cancer. Unfortunately the chemotheropy and medications broke down her body and she passed away in 2009 before she could fulfufll what she wanted to. The idea she had was called Second Chance Apparel.
SECOND CHANCE APPAREL
For Survivors of Cancer
Mission and Mission Statement of Second Chance Apparel:
Provide apparel (clothing, hats, etc.) for the physical bodies of the Survivors of cancer. New bodies, given a second chance are changed just as the mind and spirit have been given a second chance journey (Survivors of breast cancer, colon cancer, prostrate cancer, leukemia, all Survivors going through chemotherapy, radiation therapy, physical therapy – post, plastic surgery – during and post, etc.).
At this point in the process I am just trying to do what I can in order to get some money together to at least get T-shirts, Hats and things like that made in order to raise more money and awareness to the cause of the clothing line. Most proceeds from the sale of the merchandise will be used in order to "pay-it-forward" to further the research process of not only breast cancer, but all forms of cancer.
Any and all donations can be helpful, and if you can not donate spreading the word to anyone who you think would help would be greatly appreciated.
