The Accident
On Friday afternoon, March 5th 2021, Isabella Wronke of St. Joseph, Illinois was headed home when her car was struck by an SUV in a head-on collision. The front end was crushed, damaging her car beyond repair. Due to the impact Isabella lost consciousness for a short time and awoke to find herself trapped in her car. She was in shock and also frightened, concerned that her car may catch fire with no way to escape. Fortunately, there was no fire and once first responders were on the scene, they were able to, without too much delay, safely free her from the wreckage.
Izzie sustained numerous injuries, including multiple breaks in her writing hand, right foot, right hip and her sternum. She also suffered a lacerated knee and several other contusions. She was hospitalized for over a week and then transferred to an inpatient physical rehab center. Isabella’s eleven day stay at the rehab facility involved intense instruction and exercise in what will be her new daily tasks, such as transferring from her bed to a wheelchair. Her doctors are still assessing her injuries to determine if any surgeries will be necessary.
Isabella is currently recovering at home with ongoing outpatient physical and occupational therapy to improve her level of activity as she is currently confined to her wheelchair. She faces a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation period ahead of her. We’re praying that she heals as quickly as possible and regains full use of everything she injured in this accident.
How You Can Help
It is unknown at this time how Isabella’s various expenses will be covered. So, along with your prayers and healing thoughts for our 24 year-old loved-one, we are asking for any financial help that you can provide through this GoFundMe page. There is no donation that is too small -- any contribution you can make will be a blessing.
There is a costly towing and storage bill for her demolished car. And in time she will need to purchase another vehicle. Other possible expenses include car insurance deductible, inpatient stay at rehab center, outpatient physical and occupational therapy visits, necessary medical assistance or equipment, medical bills above those covered by insurance, loss of income as she recovers, and of course, those expenses not anticipated.
Please help Izzie focus on her recovery, knowing that her financial needs are being provided for. If you would, click the Share button to reach out to others. It offers several direct social media site options and a Copy button for copying and pasting this page’s link on your favorite alternate site or in a text message.
