Garner Family Ongoing Support Fund

“I could care less about his condolences,” Esaw Garner said at the press conference following a grand jury’s decision not to indict the police officer who choked her husband to death. “He’s still working, he’s still getting a paycheck, he’s still feeding his kids. And my husband is 6 feet under, and I’m looking for a way to feed my kids now."

We want to help Esaw Garner support her family on an ongoing basis. Someone once said at our family member’s memorial, “People are here for you right now, but after a few months the visits stop, the phone stops ringing, and no one is there to help anymore.” We don’t want to forget about the Garner family after a few months.

We understand that there are other fundraisers raising money for the Garner family, but we would like to help the family in a different way. We'd like supporters to commit to donating as little as $5 per month for one year  to help Esaw support her family. If at least 100 of us can commit to donating $5 or more per month for a year (with a combined monthly goal of $5,000), the family will receive our support on a consistent basis.

We hope that you are willing to make a commitment to give monthly. There are no penalties with this fund and we will not automatically deduct money from your account unless you select that option.  All of the funds will go directly to Esaw Garner and her family.
