**Why Are We Working So Hard To Publish A Book Just To Give It Away?**
What This Project Is:
For girls and women who are lost in the dark nightmare of abuse, this book will be a brilliant shining light of encouragement and empowerment from other women who have endured abuse, fought through it and have become strong and successful champions - not just survivors, but powerhouses of triumph over evil.
This self-published book will be a collection of stories of many women, what they suffered, how they survived and their determination to conquer adversity and transform into undefeated victors. My own story is included in it; after more than a decade of sexual, physical and mental abuse & rape, violence, exploitation and an entire childhood of lies, I fought alone as a teen to put the predator into prison. I won; he served time, and I have since made my life a continuing and ever expanding series of success in many endeavors.
All of the books that are self-published from this crowdfund will be donated to women's shelters, safe houses, high schools, colleges, counselors, ObGyn clinics and anywhere that it's needed, so that the books are accessible to women and girls who might not be able to purchase them.
One of the special features of this book will be several pages at the beginning of the book, left blank except for a single word at the top of each page; words of encouragement like 'hope', 'love', 'strength', 'endurance', 'empowerment', and the like. On these blank pages, readers will have a chance to write messages to other readers, so that as the books travel, as books often do, a strong community of support exists beyond what is already printed within the book, and our written words to each other will continue to light the paths ahead for those to come.
***NO DONATION IS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A FREE BOOK: we appreciate & need all donations and support, but the primary goal is to get the book out to those who need it, not those who can buy it.
Why This Is So Important:
It is imperative that girls and women in abusive situations find the inspiration and strength they need to change their lives. Their own fire isn't always enough when they think they are going through it alone, but when they feel the power of other women who have gone through the same hardships and come out stronger on the other side, it can give them the extra self-confidence they need to believe in themselves, break free and stand tall on their own.
What Your Funding Provides:
27k is the lowest estimated cost to fund this project. That amount pays for research, contact & work with other women, compensation for their stories, writing, editing, design, production, publishing, mass distribution and marketing/publicity.
**If this project is over-funded, the excess will go to publishing this book in languages other than English!
