The Next Up Tour Pt. 2

Who we are:

Our names are Micheal Rivera(known as AR) and Gerald Conyers (Gee Money) and we are two young artists that have a passion for Hip Hop. Last year we launched our first citywide tour, the "Next Up Tour,"  as high school students. It was honestly a life changing experience to travel and perform our music. We gained a lot of respect from our peers and also inspired a lot of people because of how young we were taking on such a daring project. This year, we decided that we wanted to take it to another level.

We are a part of The Future Project,  a national movement which pushes dreams of teens all throughout the country (www.thefutureproject.org). With their help, our goal is to expand our tour to reach an even bigger audience.

Our accomplishments so far:

-        Featured on Hot 93.7fm CT’s Number 1 Hip Hop Station (Gee Money)

-        Highlighted on FOX & NBC ( Ar & Gee Money)

-        Music featured on popular blog sites (AR)

-        Featured interview on New Haven Register ( Ar & Gee Money)

What are we doing:

We are launching part 2 of "The Next Up Tour. " This tour shows what can happen when you're chasing your one moment to shine and show your talent to the world. We are going across the country to different high schools & concerts to promote our music and build our brand while inspiring our peers to chase their dreams.  We are showing teens across the country that you can still be cool and fresh without being negative and destructive. We are also looking to change how people view young people in New Haven, Connecticut, which was rated the number fourth most dangerous city in America not that long ago. We are trying to inspire. We are looking to get every audience we perform for to realize they all have “Next Up” moments inside of them. 

Where we would like to go:

During our first tour, we were able to travel to Washington DC, New York & Connecticut. This year we are expanding to Philadelphia, New Jersey, California & Detroit.  


What we will do once the tour is done:

When the tour is over we plan to go around to high schools & middle schools in our home town of New Haven, CT and talk to the students about our success and trials along the journey. We will also show the students that chasing their dreams and making them into reality is possible with hard work and dedication.

What we are asking you for:

We are asking you to believe in the power of young teens inspiring others to go after what they want in life.  We are asking you to donate to our tour in order for us to cover our travel expenses and road fees.

The money raised will go towards the following:

-        Tickets (Train, Bus & Airplane)

-         Food & Lodging

-         Ground transportation

-         Promotional Materials(  ex: Shirts for the crowd)
