Backpacking Europe—Two Months.
Hello, my name is Christopher Corapi. I’m 22 years old and I’m set on traveling as far as my money will take me.
For the last year and a half I’ve been working 30+ hours as a waiter in New York City and attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice as a full time student. I’ve saved up a decent sum by working on weekends instead of going out and by eating ramen noodles for dinner (only half kidding).
The goal is to see as much of Europe as I can until my bank account forces me to come home.
I’m here asking not for you to fund my trip, but to help take some of the financial burden off. I’m looking to raise $1,000 in hopes of paying for my airfare to and from Europe. Although, the exact route is up in the air I’ll be flying into to Ireland, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switerzland, France Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Croatia
Truthfully I am on this trip to figure out what I really want to do with my life. I am only this age and this free once. I want to see as much as I can before I am forced to get a big boy job. I'm really looking for an adventure of a life time.
Howver one of the main reasons I am traveling is to to visit is Italy. My grandfather was born in 1922 in the province of Bari. I would love to see what it was like for him growing up and to get in touch with that aspect of my family.
Throughout this trip I will also be posting videos to keep everyone interested updated on my progress. I’m also going to keep a detailed journal and a Polaroid camera on me to document as much as possible in hopes of eventually writing a travel memoir. This trip has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and I’m finally ready to make it happen. I just need your help!
