Sunt Părintele Radu Amariei, preot paroh la Parohia Bedford, din cadrul Arhiepiscopiei Ortodoxe a Marii Britanii și Irlandei de Nord.
Săptămâna aceasta, inimile noastre au fost străpunse de durere la aflarea veștii că domnul Viorel a trecut la Domnul în urma unui tragic accident de muncă. A fost un OM în adevăratul sens al cuvântului — un soț iubitor, un tată devotat, un prieten de nădejde și un sprijin neobosit pentru toți cei din jurul său.
Viorel a fost mereu gata să ajute, să asculte, să întindă o mână celor aflați în nevoie. Acum, el a plecat fulgerător dintre noi, lăsând în urmă o soție îndurerată, doi copilași care încă au atâta nevoie de tatăl lor și o comunitate întreagă copleșită de durere.
Prin această campanie dorim să sprijinim familia greu încercată în acoperirea cheltuielilor de înmormântare și, pe cât posibil, să le oferim un mic sprijin în această perioadă de răscruce.
Dacă l-ați cunoscut pe Viorel sau dacă nu l-ați cunoscut , știți cât de mult a iubit, cât de mult a dăruit, cât de mult a tăcut și a ajutat. Să ne unim acum și noi inimile și puterile, pentru a-i onora memoria și a fi sprijin celor pe care i-a iubit cel mai mult și anume familia cea greu încercată.
Dumnezeu să-l odihnească în pace și lumină, iar pe noi să ne întărească în dragoste și milostenie.

I am Father Radu Amariei, parish priest at Bedford Parish, within the Orthodox Archdiocese of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
This week, our hearts were pierced with sorrow upon hearing the news that Mr. Viorel passed away following a tragic accident at work. He was a MAN in the truest sense of the word — a loving husband, a devoted father, a reliable friend and a tireless support for all those around him.
Viorel was always ready to help, to listen, to lend a hand to those in need. Now, he has left us in a flash, leaving behind a grieving wife, two young children who still need their father so much, and an entire community overwhelmed with grief.
Through this campaign we want to support the bereaved family in covering the funeral expenses and, as much as possible, to offer them a little support during this difficult time.
If you knew Viorel or if you didn't know him, you know how much he loved, how much he gave, how much he kept quiet and helped. Let us now unite our hearts and powers, to honor his memory and be of support to those he loved the most, namely his bereaved family.
May God rest him in peace and light, and strengthen us in love and mercy.
