Keep The Visitation Project On-Air!

In the summer of 2014, two Catholic women met in person after months of corresponding online about homeschooling, childhood hijinks, writing, marriage, faith, and more. The two hit it off - they laughed until they cried, danced until their feet ached, and came up with a brilliant idea over cocktails: "What would happen," they wondered, "if we had a radio show that was as fun as our friendship? We could talk about real life stuff ... faith, and marriage, and raising kids ... it could be something entertaining, yet uplifting and something authentic so people could relate to it."

It was a nice dream.

And then, one day, the dream seemed like it might actually become a reality. Plans were hatched, the show idea was pitched, the idea was accepted, a third friend blessedly agreed to join the party, and voila! The Visitation Project  was born!

Since Spring of 2015, Rebecca Frech, Bonnie Engstrom, and Heather Renshaw have been blessed to record and broadcast #TVPRadio from the studios of Mater Dei Radio  in Portland, OR. In that short amount of time, we've talked about music, heartaches, sacraments, salvation, potty training, and Divine Mercy. We've heard from loyal listeners as far away as Poland, Ireland, and Northern Africa. It has been amazing to see this dream - this show that attempts to meet our listeners wherever they are - touch so many hearts. We are truly thankful and humbled!

While Mater Dei Radio graciously provides us the space and a wonderful engineer for producing our show (hi, Keith!), the truth is, there is no line item in their non-profit budget for expenses we incur for producing the show, including travel, lodging, or food. Mater Dei cannot financially or otherwise help us create and maintain  a TVP website, offer our programs on iTunes, or expand into other Catholic radio markets.

But you could help us!

We would love to expand what we are able to offer our listeners in quality and quantity, but we honestly won't be able to continue to record after this summer if we don't do some fundraising today.

Now, just to clarify, none of the three of us are paid to serve as co-hosts of the Visitation Project; we are not currently making any money from this endeavor. We offer our gifts and talents because we love our Catholic faith and we feel The Visitation Project fills a need for relational evangelism on the radio airwaves today.  We are commited to TVP because of notes we receive from our listeners telling us that they learned something about their faith or themselves, or that they are going to Confession for the first time in many years after being inspired by something we said. That's what The Visitation Project is all about - meeting Catholic women wherever they are.

We know that this ministry is a gift in our lives, and we hope that The Visitation Project has been a gift to you, too.

Won't you please help us continue to produce The Visitation Project and expand its reach? We are sincerely grateful for all your support, and pray that God continues to bless you wherever you are.
