Wissahickon Brewing Company

Wissahickon Brewing Company is a craft brewery based in East Falls, Philadelphia, PA.  Founded by a local neighborhood family, Tim Gill and the fam are diligently building the production brewery and tasting room and are gearing up for a Winter 2017 Grand Opening.   




Wissahickon Brewing traces its roots eight years ago to a Father's Day homebrewing kit.  After years of homebrew batches, experimentation, and due diligence, the Gill family decided to go "all in" and join the Philly Craft Beer Revival. 

Wissahickon brewing will be a production brewery powered by a 15 BBL brewhouse and will also have a tasting room.  The tasting room will be a great spot to enjoy fresh beer, meet the brewers, local neighbors, listen to live music, and check out the art gallery.  Local Philadelphia food trucks will be featured throughout the week!

Born and raised in Roxborough, the Gill family members understand and appreciate the value and power of hard work where everybody pitches in and contributes.  When you visit the brewery, you will see the fruits of our labor in the details.  Friends and family, both old and new, have joined us to lend a hand, offer moral support, and sound advice.  




In the "Do it Yourself" attitude that many Philadelphians embrace, the Gills have chosen to fund their startup brewery with their personal capital and are not funded by outside investors.

What's left?  

We need to upgrade our electricity to the warehouse from 2-Phase to 3-Phase.  Without getting too technical, this will allow us to run all of our big equipment (which love electricity) uninterrupted, which is critical to operating a great brewery.
