Gimme a hand please!

February 10th, 2013 was a typical day for me until a dog walk went wrong. I was about to take my dogs walking when suddenly my female dog heard a sound and bolted. It was at that moment I realized her leash was wrapped around the base of my thumb. I heard a snap, soon my hand began to swell and bruise. Next thing I knew I was in the emergency room. Long story short my Ulnar collateral ligament in my thumb was torn from the bone, also causing damage to my tendon in my wrist. Now a year later my doctor wants to do surgery to repair my hand and wrist. However with all the time I've had off work with medical bills to pay...surgery is going to be very expensive. I have insurance but I will have a large out of pocket cost along with bills to pay while being off work. I'd appreciate any help I can get, thank you for listening to my story.
