Haiti Drought Relief

My name is Michel Gilbert and I am the brother of one of the two founders of Northern friends of Haiti (http://www.nfoh.org/). This is an organization founded to help deal with the devastating consequences of the 2008 and 2010 hurricanes. Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, and its people continue to suffer. Ironically, the latest challenge is an 18-month drought that has destroyed the crops of the people who are largely subsistence farmers. Without help, these people will starve. To provide food for the villages supported by NFOH requires $11,000 per month, and this amount is needed monthly until September, when the first crps will come to fruition if the drought doesn't destroy them again. The need is urgent. NFOH is an organization that absolutely does sustainable support (meaning that the programs they support are supervised, ongoing, and involve the local community - they are NOT just hand-outs) and uses all of its donations for its target programs (administrative costs are covered separately). My company, Wellspring Learning, will cover all of the costs associated with this donation site - so 100% of your contribution will go to secure food for the families that need it.
