Repair to our accessible van

I am looking to raise the money needed to repair our 1995 Chevy G20 van. My original estimates to have the transmission replaced, repairs to the hydraulics of the the lift and repair to the weather stripping seal on the lift side doors to correct the water that is entering through those doors, as well as replace the lock down ties that keep Nickie\'s wheelchair in place during transportation. The ties we currently have do not keep her tied down safely and require many stops on our trips to re-tighten the straps. My previous estimates from several shops ranged from $15,500-$18,950. I felt it was crazy to try to raise that kind of money for a 1995 van, so my initial thought was to try to fund a new assessable mini-van which run approximately $60,000.
I\'m happy to announce I was able to find reputable repairs men to do all the above repairs for a total or $7,800. The mechanic said it is possible that the van may make it a few more weeks on the transmission but it could go out completely any day. There is no guarantee. So my request is to raise $5,000 to add to my families personal goal of $2,800. So far we have $1,000 towards our personal goal and expect over the next several weeks to be able to save the remainder $1,800. Thank you for considering our fund and remember every dollar goes towards our goal of van repair!
