Nicaragua Service Trip Round 2!

Hi Everyone!
My name is Alexandra, and I am a Communication Sciences & Disorders major at Elms College.
I was recently chosen to participate as a member of the 2017 Elms College mission service trip to Nicaragua again! In March, I will be traveling with other Elms College students for an alternative spring break experience where I will work with others in bringing compassionate hearts to those in need. It is an important theme in my life to volunteer my time for the benefit of others.
In Nicaragua, our group will be working with Amigos for Christ, a non-profit organization that facilitates water, health, education, and economic development in rural Nicaraguan communities.
What is most important to me as a student is the presence I will bring to the people in my service site. I expect to learn so much from them as I walk with them in their struggles and joys. I know that there is much poverty and suffering in the world and I wish to respond by giving of my time and talent, hoping that my efforts will create a ripple effect of positive change.
I am currently seeking financial support to help me with the costs associated with my service trip. The program cost is about $1,300, which includes all transportation, accommodations, meals, supplies, and program activities. I am asking people to assist me by making a small contribution. Any amount will be appreciated, and will enable me to share in this wonderful opportunity. I would be happy to share my experience with you upon my return.
