A Creative Cure

Hello friend!
As you may know, this past November I had the honor of winning my dream title and was crowned Miss Taunton 2018. I am so excited to continue appearing and volunteering all across the state during my year of service with this title, all while promoting my personal platform that focuses closely on one of my passions, creating art. I am eager to provide new opportunities for my supporters to be involved in this journey and I hope you'll too consider being a part of it!
My platform, A Creative Cure: Combating Stress with Art, centers around encouraging the use of art as a form of expression and stress relief in an effort to positively impact people from all walks of life and decrease anxiety brought on by everyday stress. Since I began taking visual art classes at Wheelock College, I have fallen in love with the art of printmaking. My goal when I began to develop A Creative Cure was to bring easy-to-learn, fun, creative printmaking projects to lower income communities through schools, juvenile detention centers, homeless shelters, and other places to teach and conduct small art class sessions centered around how printmaking is an enjoyable art medium that can relieve stress while the artist creates a work that is 100% original and unique from start to finish.
In 2017, it took less than 2 months to raise $415 to purchase the materials required for me to bring the art projects to the people. By August that year, I had conducted 3 Creative Cure printmaking sessions- 2 in Taunton High School and 1 at Girls Inc. of Taunton. Pictures from both of those events can be viewed from the links below:

The success of A Creative Cure has surpassed every expectation I had when it was only a concept. I would love to have your help in this project, as it would be so beneficial to and an incredible learning opportunity for the people that I will be able to work with in the city of Taunton. I hope that you will consider donating so that more of these art sessions can take place and more people can find solace in artistry. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me by email by visiting my website, where you can also follow me on my journey as a titleholder and artist in Massachusetts.
