after care for Scarlett
Donation protected
Was not sure we would see this day. Scarlett is coming home from the University of Tennessee after her 2 hour surgery. She most likely has a rare infection, called actinomyces and NOT cancer! The histopath is still a couple more days to definitively prove that, but the cytology looks like this rare bacteria. The lump on her head won't leave as the bone became incredibly thick and infected. But, we don't care if she isn't beautiful :) She will be on metronidazole, 2 antibiotics, 4 injections, 3 meals a day, unlimited hay and a farrier. That adds up fast. Her surgery bill is covered and that is all I thought we would need - but YEA! She made it this far. Let's keep her going. Call to come meet her. She has quite a story to tell.
