Ahjee Lawrence Celebration of Life

On Thursday, 8/3rd, 3 beautiful girls, Ahjee, Shiloh & Gabrielle were having a wonderful time enjoying each other's company at Ahjee's house before going to the mall.
Ahjee's Mother, Waketa, was taking the girls to Towson Town Center specifically to shop for the cruise Ahjee was going on the following week with her Dad, Johnny.
Ninety minutes after taking this picture, while on the way to the mall, an incredible thunderstorm with hurricane-like winds, torrential rain and hail in the Timonium area interrupted their trip. As the hail pounded the car, Waketa went into protective mode, and told the girls to crouch down to protect their heads, because she was afraid the hail was going to bust the windshield and windows out of the car. She slowed to a stop on Pot Springs Road, because she could not see through the hard rain and hail. She heard a most horrific noise (one that she said she will never forget) that she thought was hail, then quickly realized it was a huge tree that had fallen on the car on her daughter Ahjee's side, who was sitting in the backseat with her 6-year old sister, Shiloh. Gabrielle was in the front next to Waketa. Waketa frantically got out of the car, waving and crying, trying to get help for the girls who were trapped in the car, while Gabrielle prayed over her best friend, and encouraged Ahjee's little sister Shiloh not to worry. Waketa was unable to get help until the paramedics came and were able to free Shiloh and Gabrielle. They were rushed to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Center, where the two sustained minimal injuries. Waketa went with them with the expectation that Ahjee would be freed also, and she would be at the hospital with Shiloh waiting for Ahjee to arrive.
God had another plan, and he decided He wanted Ahjee at that moment to rest in His bosom. This beautiful child was love, life, and beauty inside and out! Her parents said, "She was a good child, never giving them a bit of trouble." She was well loved in her community and school. She was an 8th grader, looking forward to being a upper classman at Cockeysville Middle School. She was a faithful, loving and a protective big sister to Shiloh, and she looked out for her, even suggesting that she sit in the back with her on the way to the mall. She was fun and a good friend, sharing her clothes, and funny sayings. I am so grateful that my daughter, Gabrielle, and I had the chance to get to know her and enjoy her beautiful, gentle, and fun spirit. I'm sure her other friends and classmates feel the same.
I am asking your generosity to make this transition for her family just a little easier. The funds will be used to cover all expenses associated with Ahjee's homegoing. Ahjee's passing was unexpected, to say the least, and the grief that her parents, Waketa & Pierre Thomas and Johnny Lawrence are going through can not be described. Having financial burdens out of the way may ease their pain only in the slightest. They are absolutely heartbroken, along with Ahjee's other family, friends, Cockeysville Middle School and the Cockeysville/Timonium community at large.
God has a plan for this beautiful sacrifice, because He is perfect and makes no mistake. We will trust Him even through the pain! We give You thanks Lord for the 14 years that Ahjee added love and joy to all who came in contact with her!
Thank you in advance for your prayers and donations for this family in the name of beautiful Ahjee Semiah Lawrence!
With a deeply saddened heart for her loss, humbly submitted,
Robin Davis, Gabrielle's Mom
