We're Launching a Podcast Network!

Airwave Media currently produces the popular, award-winning, twice-weekly interview podcast Kickass News which receives over a million downloads every month.
We recently decided to leverage our passion and experience in the podcast industry to launch a new podcast network called Airwave in Q2 2021 (website will debut April 2021). Airwave will be a curated collection of podcasts hosted by some of the leading thought leaders and storytellers in audio entertainment.
We plan to produce and distribute entertaining and thought-provoking podcasts in the areas of science, history, culture, food, social justice, health/wellness, audio docuseries, and true crime.
Airwave is a female owned business, and we have a goal for at least 50% of Airwave podcasts to be hosted/produced by women and minorities by the end of 2021.
We have at least 10 popular existing podcasts who will be joining the network at launch and 6 new original podcasts that will premiere in the first month. We then plan to roll out 1-2 original shows per month with the goal of having 40 shows by the end of 2021, and 80-100 shows by the end of 2222.
The majority of our roster will be comprised of brand new shows and original content which means we need your help to cover our production budget for these programs. Every new podcast requires editing, audio and sound mixing, research, writers, narrators, feed hosting fees, and marketing. While we intend to recoup those expenses through advertising sales, it often takes 90 days for advertisers to pay and we need startup funding to cover those those initial costs.
On a higher level though, we hope that Airwave will be a platform that elevates new and unrepresented voices and a catalyst for thoughtful discussion about a diverse range of ideas. There are plenty of people who want to be entertained and distracted during these difficult times, but we believe that there are just as many people, maybe more, who desperately crave education, enlightenment, and inspiration. Airwave is eager to fill that need.
