A Journey Back to Myanmar

Donation protected

This humanitarian adventure is like no other as we set out to donate, and capture the annual charity efforts of the Zaw Family to feed the elderly, the school for the blind, and orphans of Burma. We travelled 12 hours a day deep into the heart of this country to provide resources and capture stories of those who rarely have a voice.

Born in the dense jungles of Myanmar and plagued with TB at age 3, my parents whom at the time ran a small medical clinic to take care of the villagers sacrificed everything to move to the United States where I could have a better life.

29 Years later, after achieving the American Dream, I finally had an opportunity to utilize my passion and skills of Video Production to save up enough personal income and donate as well as produce content for organizations in Myanmar that would never get the attention and support they need.

This time around, we want to share the joys of feeding the elderly, and supporting the orphans in Burma, and extending the invitation to join the journey back in 2019.

The Details:

I. The Beneficiaries: As you'll see in our video documentary of the Charity Events the funds go directly to the Orphanage and Organizations located in the heart of Myanmar. The Zaw Family has done this as an bi-annual ritual to travel throughout Burma to personally make sure that these Schools, Hospitals, and Orphans get the funds and support they need directly. 100% of the donated funds are going to the needy and travel, adminstration, and logistics are not deducated unlike many Non-Profit Organizations.

II. The Delivery: This campaign usually takes 2 and a half weeks of travelling into the dense and far corners of Myanmar, where we are often driving 12 hours into the rural areas to personally deliver aid and supplies. Enriching the local economy with purchases of water filtration systems for the small schools, orphans, and funds donated directly to feed the needy.

III. Why We Do This: It's important to understand that half our work at Zaw Studios is catering to Small Businesses, and Entrepreneurs while the other half is about giving back and utilizing our connections and resources to serve those that cannot help themselves. Video documentation has been a recent phenomenon
as we wanted to provide them the exposure they could never afford to produce themselves. None of what we do is for tax deduction purposes, but to solely be effective in helping those that need it the most.

WATCH, as we work to leverage everything Zaw Studios has built up to help other non-profit to small businesses create content in exchange for donations in support of "A Journey Back to Myanmar"
