Alex's fight against brain cancer

Donation protected
Our son Alex is 20 years old. He has been battling cancer since he was 13. Twice with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and Anaplastic Astrocytoma (brain tumor). On April 16, 2015 Alex went for his routine 3 month MRI. Being 1 year 6 months in remission we weren't worried. That day forever changed us all. The doctor.came and told us Alex relasped before we even left the hospital that day. Really cancer again, the 4th time!! How much can one child endure. He had brain surgery again on June 2, 2015. They were unable to remove all of the tumor without causing damage to Alex's quality of life. His tumor has progressed and is now a grade 4 Glioblastoma (GBM). This is terminal cancer.

We are by no means giving up and we are praying for a cure. We are struggling to find a plan, due to the fact of his genetic disorder, Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, an incredibly rare disorder that makes ones body produce cancer cells rapidly when using traditional means of treatment.  We are looking into clinical trails possibly at Duke University. We are fighting tooth and nail to get as much time with Alex as we can. This is a very aggressive cancer. We want to be able to be there when Alex needs us, which will require time off from work. We are out of vacation time and need your help. Travel, living, and possible medical expenses. We are having issues with some of the most renowned physicians not willing to accept our insurance plan. Please help us give our son the fighting chance he deserves. Any amount will help and we are so grateful.
