Help Amber get to Chicago!

Donation protected
Hi! I'm Amber Cadaverous and I'm a final year BA Fine Art student at Birmingham City University and recently have been granted the Louisa Anne Ryland Award.  This is a massive opportunity and accomplishment, having been selected over a number of undergraduate and masters students across arts, design and media courses! However my application has resulted in me being awarded half the funds for my proposal. So the university suggested that I set up online sponsorship to fund raise the remaining amount needed to make my proposed itinerary viable, so here I am! This award is granting me the opportunity to do drag and make art in the wonderful Chicago!
Chicago is home to one of the most creative diverse drag scenes in the world and is a strong champion of club art and performance art. This experience will strongly impact my craft and my contextual knowledge of queer art and history. Imbedding myself in Chicago’s queer culture will have a big impact on the quality of artwork I can produce. The primary research carried out working on this scene will contextualise, inform and inspire my practice.
