I hope you are doing well.
My name is Amber Johnston, from Birmingham, AL . This is me with my handsome Marine, Eric, and we are going to get through this together....but....
I just lost my job.
I was a Graphic Designer for the same company for the best part of 15 years, being WAY underpaid compared to the national salary, and I got laid off for making a printing mistake I should have just been "spoken to" about.
A simple conversation would have avoided all of this. But NO. We want to play games with Amber's income and livliehood.
Fired. On the day after my 33rd birthday.
Are you serious? I have done blood, sweat and tears for that company. Also, In the meantime I am not working. I have not been invited back, even to clean out my cubicle completely.
*This is my computer setup. 2 laptops, one for design, one for internet. The design one is 9 years old*
My goal here on GoFundMe is to scrounge up some investment funds to invest in my company, Amber Johnston Designs.
I believe that with my extensive experience coding websites, and designing for practically my whole life, I could work from home and focus on making money instead of what is going on in the office.
Working from home is ideal for me, as I have Adult ADD, Major Depression, severe anxiety, among with a few other conditions that make working in an office very distracting. This often results in incorrect projects, etc.
During one leave of pneumonia, I was able to freelance, sell on ebay and side gig over $400 . I couldn't believe it.
I just need the time and less anxiety to devote to my business.
I know we can't all afford to donate hundreds of dollars, but even a donation of $5 will help tremendously!
