Hi, my name is Amy. My goal is to save as many animals as possible. I am here in order to continue with my fundraising efforts. I have been rescuing abused and neglected pets for as long as I can remember, and I would like to continue to do so.
I have had a lot of tragedy happen in my life at such a young age. My animal rescue efforts is the only thing that keeps me going day to day. It makes me feel like I have a purpose and meaning in life. To see these animals transform from abused and broken animals into beautiful and happy pets. Really brightens up my day.
I am forteen years old and I'd like to consider myself an animal enthusiast, I have been rescuing animals for as long as I can remember. Currently I am rescuing abused and neglected animals from high kill shelters. Nursing them back to health and finding them nice homes to stay in.
My dad was my leading inspiration. He taught me everything I needed to know about animals how to feed them, protect and treat their wounds. Unfortunately he passed suddenly from a brain tumor when I was 10yrs old. I miss him more and more each day that passes, but I still feel like I have to carry on our mission, which was to help animal in need of being helped. Together we would rescue animals suffering from malnutrition, animals eaten and neglected.
After my father passed away, my mother could barely take care of us, on top of her being so upset and heartbroken. The vet bills were adding up way too fast. Eventually she told me that we had reached our capacity and could no longer take in any more animals for the time being. This made me sad I cried and cried for days. I didn’t know how I was going to continue to save these animals, but I knew that I couldn’t just leave them there to die!
I started a Campaign to encourage others to adopt from animal shelters. Focusing on the local high kill shelters. My Campaign was called. SAVING MORE ANIMALS (SMA).
I finally convinced my mom that we could raise enough money in our community to take care of some vet bills and hopefully get a house add-on for some extra space for more pets. She eventually agreed, so I started a local fundraiser with my siblings called Cookies For Pets. We went door to door collecting donations and selling cookies, it was quite a success. All proceeds went towards our current vet bills, but we still have a lot more catching up to do.
That's why I'm here asking for your help to catch up on vet bills in order to continue in my rescue efforts. I would like to continue to rescue abused and neglected animals, but without the extra money and space I will be forced to quit.
