Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. This is a campaign for my good friend Armando Mejia, otherwise known as Angelic in the Fighting Game Community.

As you may or may not be aware, 2 months ago Angelic started experiencing issues concerning his hands from basic carpal tunnel pain all the way up to extreme bouts of numbness in his entire arm(s). Both of his jobs require the extensive use of his hands, from the keyboard to the fight stick and doing both (or either) brings him great physical pain.

When Angelic told me of his situation, I asked him to see a professional but he had stated that getting the time off of work was not only difficult, it was also not paid. When you are living alone and bills must be paid, it is often difficult to put your own health in front of the paycheck. Angelic finally sought after additional assistance when the pain proved to be unbearable and was placed on intense pain killers. He followed up with his primary doctor after the pain persisted and was told to seek a hand surgeon immediately and if he didn’t take at least 3 weeks to attempt to heal his hands, he could be facing more serious and lasting issues.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to earn enough money for Angelic to be able to take time off of work, as recommended by his doctor, to allow time for his hands to heal or seek additional help he may need. Unfortunately, his work does not provide paid leave and life must go on, so that’s where we come in. All proceeds will go toward basic necessities like rent and food, as well as more complex issues such as his medical bills and things that his insurance may not cover. Without that required time for his hands to heal or the time to go and get surgery, there could be long lasting effects on his hands that go beyond fighting games or computer usage for his job.
