Angels for Annemarie
Donation protected
I am starting this fund on behalf of my sister, Annemarie Hodge to help raise funds to cover out of pocket medical expenses that she will accrue during her journey to become cancer free.
On July 6, 2015 she went into the hospital to have her gallbladder removed. When the surgeon removed her gallbladder he discovered four tumors that had advanced to her liver from an alternate primary source, not being the gallbladder. The tumors were immediately biopsied.
On July 13 she was informed that the tumors were indeed malignant and has been diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic adenocarcinoma.
For the past 15 years she has dedicated herself to the education field working with both general education and special education students. Having a child with special needs has made her even more passionate as a special education teacher. She has been a strong advocate for students who have special needs and has helped so many families. She has been recognized with numerous awards for her teaching and is a well-respected member of her community.
Sadly, her siblings and most of her family members live out of state. Thankfully, she has a strong network of friends and the support of her community which will help along this journey.
Funds that will be collected, will be used towards out of pocket medical expenses, child/household care and necessary travel costs.
Unfortunately, in today’s society many families have their share of financial burdens. There is no contribution that would be considered too small and any gift both monetary and of prayer would be forever appreciated.
Please continue to keep Annemarie and her family in your prayers.
We will try to post updates to this site to keep you all advised on her progress.
Fondly,
The Family of Annemarie Hodge
