The Story
This FunkUmentary (Documentary) tells the true story of “The Urban Guerilla Orchestra,” (UGO) a group of musicians from Philadelphia coming together to create a sound. UGO is renowned for its syncopated dance grooves blended with soulful harmonies. Overcoming adversity and frustration, UGO has created a unique sound that pays tribute to legendary Billboard artists. 6.14.2015 Anybody Wanna Dance: The Funkumentary will give you a bird’s eye view of the inner workings of a funk band and how the mechanics, personalities, and experiences collide to create a one of a kind experience that will move your soul.
UGO has one of the best musical line up in Philadelphia musical history, featuring musicians who performed with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Boyz II Men, Alicia Keys, The Roots and countless others. The Film Concert Shoot will capture the live performance -in living color. UGO wants you to be a part of it.
Camden NJ: On June 14, 2015 The Urban Guerilla Orchestra will perform at Trinity Live Entertainment 79 Newton Avenue Camden, NJ. Showtime is at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available on line at http://ugoanybodywannadance.eventbrite.com
